Collaborators and partners, the designer Teddy Santis and the brand New Balance unveil a new opus. Through his label Aimé Leon Dore, the New York designer presents his 3rd pack of P550.
In the fall of 2020, Teddy Santis had resurrected the almost forgotten bball 550 silhouette from the NB archives. So it’s a little thanks to him that exclusive versions and eye-catching collabs have seen the light of day for the past 2 years (several articles available on this site).
The new versions that make up this 3rd collaborative pack benefit from a premium design and a vintage look that is hyper popular at the moment.
Available in White/Olive Green, White/Purple and White/Burgundy, these 3 exclusive NB 550s feature an off-white leather upper, complemented by secondary color elements, such as the iconic side N logo appearing in cracked leather, other branding and co-branding details affixed to different parts of the foot and the heel clip. To ensure retro style, the side overlays feature multiple small perforations, and the midsole is shown yellowed. The whole is based on a green, plum or burgundy rubber outsole depending on the version, which ensures the harmony of the design.
