Teddy Santis, founder of the Aimé Leon Dore (ALD) brand, is also the creative director of New Balance’s high-end Made in USA line. In addition to bringing his streetwear-chic touch to premium designs, the Queens-based designer crafts eye-catching collabs with the sport’s specialist for his ALD label.
After offering us an Aimé Leon Dore x New Balance Rainier trio last December, the partners tease an upcoming exclusive NB 1906R.
Sporting an attractive look, this shoe consists of a breathable cream mesh upper, complemented by bright mint overlays with silver or black grey accents. The iconic side N logo featuring the Boston-based brand’s signature N-Lock system, which stabilizes the side of the foot, appears in black and bronze. The pair also benefits from a black heel reinforcement and a matching inner lining. To affirm the collab, the silver-gray insole and tongue tag are adorned with the co-branding combined with a floral illustration from ALD’s collections. The special design is provided by touches of different shades of green on the white midsole. A black outsole provides the final stylish touch.
The pair will be delivered in a co-branded shoe bag in dark green color and with an extra special set of laces.
The Aimé Leon Dore x New Balance 1906R is expected to be released soon in stores and online at partners aimeleondore.com and newbalance.com.
