A few days ago, the famous German shop AFEW presented us a very special collab elaborated with its strong partner ASICS : the GEL-Lyte III « Beauty of Imperfection CP 1/1 » (article available HERE). A unique pair that raised 13 000€ ( near 15 000$) for the Regenbogenland institution for sick children and teenagers. AFEW has just unveiled a new version of this project which will be accessible in a larger released.
This upcoming AFEW x GEL-Lyte III « B.O.I » features a premium material construction and is again inspired by the Japanese Wabi-Sabi philosophy, which finds beauty in imperfection.
It appears in a soft « Polar Shade/Seagrass » color palette and is adorned with special features. Crafted from premium perforated and smooth suede, the exclusive sneaker features an off-white base with matching overlays and green Tigers Stripes that change color with wear and turn pink. At the back of the foot, an exclusive purple suede overlay adorned with AFEW branding adds flair to the pair, as do zig-zag stitching and black kanji. To ensure the look, this collaborative GEL-Lyte III features a co-branded cork insole that also features black kanji. In keeping with the 2 brands’ emphasis on craftsmanship and attention to detail, the medial panels are embellished with purple stitching in the shape of the iconic asics Tigers Stripes. A white heel clip, distressed vintage-style midsole and gum outsole finish off the design nicely.
The AFEW STORE X ASICS GEL-LYTE™ III « B.O.I » will be released on February 26, 2022 exclusively via a raffle accessible now at afew-store.com. The price is set at 170€ and sizes ranging from US4 to US14 . Don’t sleep !
