A few days ago, I told you in an article (available HERE) about the latest collaboration between Afew and Asics. Based on the GEL-Lyte™ III silhouette, this one sports a premium material construction and is again inspired by the Japanese Wabi-Sabi philosophy, which finds beauty in imperfection.
Having been lucky enough to receive it early, I suggest you to discover it in pictures at my feet.
It appears in a soft color palette « Polar Shade/Seagrass » and is adorned with special features. Crafted from premium perforated and smooth suede, the exclusive sneaker consists of an off-white base with matching overlays and green Tigers Stripes that change color with wear and turn pink. At the back of the foot, an exclusive purple suede overlay with AFEW branding adds flair to the pair, as do zig-zag stitching and black kanji. To ensure the look, this collaborative GEL-Lyte III features a co-branded cork insole that also features black kanji. In keeping with the 2 brands’ emphasis on craftsmanship and attention to detail, the medial panels are embellished with purple stitching forming the shape of the iconic asics Tigers Stripes. A white heel clip, distressed vintage-style midsole and gum outsole finish off the design nicely.
