adidas ZX 8000 « Yoyogi Park »

While a special « Halloween » adidas ZX 8000 has just surfaced on social networks (article available HERE), the German giant is about to release an iteration paying tribute to Japan by taking inspiration from Yoyogi Park in the Shibuya district of Tokyo.

This wooded park is particularly popular with Tokyo residents. It’s located near Harajuku (the birthplace of Japanese streetwear) and the legendary Meiji Shrine.

To make this exclusive ZX 8000, adidas was inspired by the park’s landscape during the fall season, featuring its brown and orange hues. The shoe consists of a beige leather base with brown suede overlays on the toe and heel, and mustard on the laceguard and heel tab. The latter color also dresses the heel reinforcement. The tongue is presented in grey extra hairy suede, the 3 Stripes are dressed in purple and the insole is covered with the Trefoil logo in autumn leaf graphics. To complete the reference, the Yoyogi Park location address is inscribed in black on the side of the yellowed midsole. Reflective details on the toe box and the three adidas stripes complete the look. The design is finalized by a brown inner lining, a brown and gold tongue tag, and a dark purple outsole.

The adidas ZX 8000 « Yoyogi Park » will be released in the coming weeks, at select retailers and on adidas.com. To miss nothing, stay tuned !
