Very active in terms of collaborations (several articles available on this site), the German giant ADIDAS unveils a collection developed with the motorcycle manufacturer KAWASAKI. Consisting of a ZX 8000 and a ZX 5K BOOST, this pack pays tribute to the Ninja motorcycle family.
Kawasaki Ninja is the name given to several series of KAWASAKI sport bikes. Launched in 1984, this range is the most recognizable of the brand.
The ZX 8000 is inspired by the Ninja ZX-7R model. It features Ninja’s signature green overlays, tongue and the iconic adidas 3-Stripes on the side. The perforated white leather base is accented with blue accents and a smooth black leather lining. Kawasaki’s signature black Ninja logo adorns the quarter panel. To continue the homage to these motorcycles, chrome finishes stand out on the heel cup, toe cap, embroidered Ninja logo outlines and tongue brandings « adidas » for the right foot and « Kawasaki » for the other foot. A white midsole coupled with a black outsole finalizes the look. The pair comes with 3 sets of laces and 3 colorways of dubrae.
The ZX 5K BOOST is a tribute to the ZX-10R motorcycle. It has an understated style with a touch of boldness. It features a black mesh base with neon green accents on the dubraes, eyelets, signature Ninja logo on the mudguard and part of the outsole. 3M reflective elements on the toe box and a chrome heel counter ensure the tribute to the famous motorcycle. To affirm the collab, the Kawasaki logo appears on the right tongue tag and the adidas Trefoil on the left shoe tag. An imposing black semi-translucent midsole reminiscent of motorcycle tires completes the look. The pair comes with 2 sets of dubrae, one neon green and one metallic silver, as well as an additional set of green laces.
