A few months ago, I told you in an article (available HERE) about one of the latest collaborations between Adidas and the designer Sean Wotherspoon. Called Superturf Adventure, this sneaker pays tribute to the Disney movie “Pinocchio” released in 1940, inspired by the famous character Jiminy Cricket.

True to the eco-responsible convictions of the founder of shop Round Two, the shoe is composed in part of a mixture of multicolored vegan materials. We also find corduroy that Sean Wotherspoon is particularly fond of and a range of colors referring to the elegant Jiminy Cricket. The sneaker consists of a purple corduroy base with a beige side cage complemented by a speckled bottom panel and a blue laceguard. The iconic adidas 3-Stripes appear in green fabric with yellow stitching, and the toe and heel overlays stand out in orange and sky blue, respectively. In addition to the white lacing system, the green tongue features a purple zipper. Above the latter, sits a small and practical removable pocket signed SW in orange-yellow color. To complete the look, a Jiminy Cricket graphic adorns the tongue tag and Sean Wotherspoon branding is applied to the cork insole. The whole is based on a white adiPRENE midsole with an orange and purple under heel insert, coupled with an ultra grippy fir green outsole.
I am very happy to have this pair in my collection. The colorful “Trail” side of the shoe immediately reminded me of the ACG vibe. Except that here we are at adidas, and Sean Wotherspoon knew perfectly how to mix all these colors for a harmonious look. I really liked the little bag attached to the laces and would have preferred to have one on each foot, and not one on a single foot. I felt unbalanced lmao. In short, you will have understood that I validate in 100%.
