Adidas will participate in the celebration of the Chinese New Year 2021 with a redesigned Superstar. This iconic silhouette, which celebrated its 50th anniversary throughout 2020, is adorned with a design paying tribute to the Year of the Ox.
The shoe is dressed in a color palette of white, black and Scarlet. It consists of a white leather upper with the emblematic 3 side stripes and the heel tab in black color. To pay tribute to the Year of the Ox, we discover a bold print combining different graphics and colors (red, orange, electric blue and brown). This special print covers the tongue, joins the adidas side stripes and discreetly sits alongside the orange Trefoil on the heel tab. To complete the look, the Chinese Gold circular branding is engraved on the side heel and a red heel strap coupling the logos is added to the silhouette. The inner lining, laces and the mythical rubber shell toe appear in their legendary white color. The final touch of the design is provided by a white midsole combined with a black outsole.
