The famous Atlanta shop A MA MANIERE unveils a new part of its collaboration with the Swoosh brand. After having proposed us an Air Ship ‘Game Royal’ at the end of last August, James Whitner and his team worked on an elegant version ‘White/Black’.
The famous Nike Air Ship was designed by Bruce Kilgore and has especially marked the spirits as the 1st Nike shoe worn by Michael Jordan during his debut on the NBA floor in 1984, before the creation of his 1st signature shoe and its sub-label Air Jordan. Reissued in 2020, it was offered in several colorways and available in limited editions.
A MA MANIERE wanted to honor this cult silhouette by giving it a modern touch.
In the continuity of the rather bold ‘Game Royal’, the Atlanta store presents a simple and timeless version in a combination of white and black.
The new Nike Air Ship collaborative consists of a smooth white leather base with matching overlays. An elegant touch of contrast is provided by black elements, such as the collar, side Swoosh, branding details on the tongue and rubber outsole. To ensure the look, the nylon tongue, laces, heel « Nike Air » branding and midsole are dressed in white.
This pair comes in a white and black box, specially designed for the occasion.
The A Ma Maniére x Jordan Air Ship « White/Black » will be released over the next few months, in stores and online at a-ma-maniere.com, as well as at select retailers and on Nike’s SNKRS app. The price is expected to be around $160. For the latest official details, stay tuned !
