A-COLD-WALL x Dr Martens 1461

After the Japanese shop ATMOS and the British retailer END. (articles available on this site), Samuel Ross’ brand, A-COLD-WALL, has reimagined the famous Dr Martens 1461 silhouette. This collaboration pays tribute to the impact of the Dr Martens brand in the city of London and around the world.

The 2 brands have already worked together earlier this year. They share the same passion and respect for craftsmanship and artisans.

Samuel Ross explained that having grown up in the same city where Dr. Martens was founded, the partnership with A-COLD-WALL is more than a collaboration, it’s a deep relationship of trust. The designer continued, « Respectfully redesigning the silhouette was important to us, introducing a dynamism that reflects the artists who have historically spearheaded Dr. Martens, without damaging the existing intellectual property. »

The Dr. Martens 1461 collaborative silhouette consists of a classic black leather upper and features the A-COLD-WALL logo on the side. The eyelets have elegant leather flaps and silver metal rivets are added on different parts of the shoe. The whole is based on a translucent sole, which adds a modern touch to the original silhouette.

The A-COLD-WALL x Dr. Martens 1461 will be released first, on November 4, 2021 at a-cold-wall.com and will then arrive at drmartens.com two days later, on November 6, 2021, as well as at select retailers.
