UNITED ARROWS has unveiled a new chapter in its collaboration with American shoe manufacturer New Balance. After bringing its touch to the 1700 and RC 205 silhouettes, the Japanese fashion label has reworked the hyper popular NB 550.
Brought back from the archives by Teddy Santis and his Aimé Leon Dore label, this model has been reinterpreted by many other labels for several months (various articles available on this site).
UNITED ARROWS presents us with an elegant and premium version of this bball. It features a premium suede upper in a neutral « Ecu Grey » colorway subtly contrasted by white and grey accents. To complete the refined look of the sneaker, the tongue appears in white with an almost invisible NB logo and the heel tab is dressed in white and has no branding. The iconic « NB » is embroidered on the back suede heel reinforcement and the side N is adorned in bright white. The whole is based on a white midsole and a grey rubber outsole that matches the heel clip. In addition to the ecru laces, the pair comes with an extra set of grey laces.
The UNITED ARROWS x New Balance 550 « Ecu Grey » will be released on December 25, 2021 at label store.united-arrows.co.jp, priced at 144$ (16,500 ¥). Don’t sleep !
