[:fr]La marque de mode urbaine basée à Hong Kong CLOT s’associe une nouvelle fois à Jordan brand afin d’apporter sa touche personnelle à une silhouette disparue depuis 6 ans, la AJ 14 Low. Tout comme la Air Jordan 13 Low réimaginée en 2018, cette prochaine collaboration en édition premium nommée « Sepia Stone » s’inspire du patrimoine ancestral.
Cette chaussure se pare d’une palette de couleurs « Sepia Stone », « Terre cuite » et « Sable du Désert ». Elle rend hommage aux milliers de statues de guerriers en terre cuite représentant l’armée du 1er empereur chinois Qin Shi Huang, aussi vu comme le père de la Grande Muraille de Chine.
La construction de la sneaker rappelle l’armure de ces combattants ancestraux. Elle apparait de couleur taupe et se compose d’une combinaison de cuir texturé et de daim, avec de fins détails linéaires couleur sable. Cette dernière teinte habille le col, le lining, la languette et les lacets, mettant ainsi en valeur « l’armure » centrale de la chaussure. On retrouve le graphique standard du bouclier sur le quart latéral, pouvant rappeler l’écusson de la prestigieuse écurie Ferrari. Sur la languette droite, le branding habituel Jordan est conservé et sur la languette gauche, il est remplacé pour la marque CLOT, de couleur terre cuite. A l’arrière du talon, un renfort vertical en caoutchouc noir ajoute du cachet à la paire. Pour affirmer le design robuste, la semelle « Sepia Stone » est complétée par des ajouts de couleur terre cuite, remontant sur la toe box en daim et les côtés de la chaussure.
La CLOT x Air Jordan 14 Low « Sepia Stone » est annoncée pour le début de l’année 2021, sur les sites des deux partenaires clot.com et nike.com, pour un prix aux alentours de 220€.
Il se pourrait que cette paire soit accompagnée d’une Air Jordan 35 collaborative dans un design similaire. A suivre…
[:en]The Hong Kong-based urban fashion brand CLOT once again joins forces with Jordan brand to bring its personal touch to a silhouette that has been missing for 6 years, the AJ 14 Low. Just like the Air Jordan 13 Low re-imagined in 2018, this next collaboration in a premium edition called « Sepia Stone » is inspired by ancestral heritage.
This shoe is adorned with a palette of colors « Sepia Stone », « Terra Blush » and « Desert Sand ». It pays homage to the thousands of terracotta warrior statues representing the army of the 1st Chinese emperor Qin Shi Huang, also seen as the father of the Great Wall of China.
The construction of the sneaker recalls the armor of these ancestral warriors. It appears in taupe color and consists of a combination of textured leather and suede, with fine linear sand-colored details. The sand color is used to dress the collar, lining, tongue and laces, highlighting the central « armor » of the shoe. The standard shield graphic is found on the side quarter, which may recall the crest of the prestigious Ferrari team. On the right tongue, the usual Jordan branding is kept and on the left tongue, it’s replaced by the CLOT brand, in terracotta color. At the back of the heel, a vertical black rubber reinforcement adds cachet to the pair. To assert the robust design, the « Sepia Stone » sole is completed by terracotta-colored additions, going up on the suede toe box and the sides of the shoe.
The CLOT x Air Jordan 14 Low « Sepia Stone » is announced for the beginning of 2021, on the websites of the two partners clot.comand nike.com, for a price around 220€.
