REEBOK revient sur le devant de la scène sneaker en présentant des collabs haut de gamme. En plus des paires conçues avec Maison Margiela ou récemment Mountain Research (articles disponibles sur ce site), la légendaire marque britannique s’associe au label streetwear premium de Dubaï AMONGST FEW pour remodeler l’iconique Club C 85.
Créée à Dubaï en 2014 par Flo l’autrichienne, Mike l’anglo-jamaïcain et Khalid le natif des Emirats, AMONGST FEW est une marque locale de streetwear qui propose des vêtements soignés, classiques et intemporels. Elle s’attache aux détails et développe son propre style en s’inspirant des différentes cultures et influences des fondateurs.
Nommée « Magic Carpet », cette Club C 85 collaborative rend hommage à l’artisanat oriental et arbore une conception luxueuse. Elle se compose d’une base en cuir nappa blanc avec des superpositions assorties. Pour ajouter une touche vintage, la paire se pare d’éléments jaunis, comme la languette en mousse exposée, la semelle intermédiaire et la fenêtre latérale accueillant habituellement le branding REEBOK. Sur ce modèle exclusif, ce dernier apparaît en langue arabe afin d’affirmer le lien entre l’orient et l’occident véhiculé par cette collab. Les insoles dépareillées, l’une grise et l’autre jaunie, sont recouvertes d’un print évoquant les tapis orientaux. Le soin apporté aux détails se symbolise par un délicat liseré gris sous le col, probablement reflective, et par des perforations au niveau de la toe box prenant subtilement la forme du mot « FEW », en référence au nom de la marque de Dubaï. Une confortable doublure intérieure rembourrée blanc cassé, des lacets blancs et une inscription de branding « amongst few » sous l’outsole jaunie semi-translucide parachèvent élégamment le look.
La paire est livrée dans une box spéciale arborant un print « tapis oriental » en all-over.

La Amongst few x Reebok Club C 85 « Magic Carpet » sortira le 5 mars 2022 à 6h00 (9h00 GST) via une raffle déjà ouverte sur l’appli de la marque de Dubaï, amongst few. Le prix est fixé à 123€ (499AED) et comptez 25€ (100AED) pour l’expédition.

Named « Magic Carpet », this Club C 85 collaborative pays tribute to oriental craftsmanship and features a luxurious design. It features a white nappa leather base with matching overlays. To add a vintage touch, the pair is adorned with yellowed elements, such as the exposed foam tongue, the midsole and the side window that usually houses the REEBOK branding. On this exclusive model, the branding appears in Arabic to affirm the link between the East and the West conveyed by this collab. The mismatched insoles, one grey and the other yellowed, are covered with a print evoking the oriental carpets. The attention to detail is symbolized by a delicate grey border under the collar, probably reflective, and by perforations at the toe box subtly taking the form of the word « FEW », in reference to the name of the Dubai brand. A comfortable off-white padded inner lining, white laces, and a « amongst few » branding inscription under the semi-translucent yellowed outsole elegantly complete the look.
The pair comes in a special box with an all-over « oriental carpet » print.
