Afew Store et la marque de sneakers Allemande Kangaroos se sont associés pour la troisième fois afin de nous proposer un nouveau projet et un véritable concept écologique basé sur la sensibilisation de l’état de nos forêts et sur les actions de sauvegarde à entreprendre.
Comme souvent avec Kangaroos, cette chaussure a été fabriquée à la main en Allemagne. Celle-ci reflète la forêt, les arbres, les feuilles… bref en un mot la Nature.
Soucieux de lancer un projet qui informe et sensibilise, Afew a également souhaité montrer l’exemple en s’engageant sur le terrain. Par conséquent, ils se sont associés à l’Institut forestier européen (EFI) et à Plant-for-the-Planet en proposant de planter 10 arbres pour chaque paire de chaussures vendue. 3000 arbres seront ainsi plantés à Campeche, au Mexique et chaque propriétaire du modèle recevra un certificat officiel. Les coordonnées exactes de l’arbre planté figureront sur les chaussures.
La paire se compose d’un upper en suede et cuir de veau haut de gamme. La doublure contient un mélange de mesh et de cuir. On retrouve le branding Afew sur la languette et le talon ainsi que la mention “Mighty” et “Forest” sur ce même talon. La semelle intérieure est en cuir anti-bactérien. L’ensemble repose sur une semelle intermédiaire blanche de technologie Dynacoil et sur une outsole en gomme. La paire sera livrée dans une boîte en bois certifiée Forest Stewardship Council (fsc).

Afew Store and the German sneaker brand Kangaroos have joined forces for the third time to offer us a new project and a real ecological concept based on awareness of the state of our forests and on the safeguarding actions to be undertaken.
As often with Kangaroos, this shoe was handmade in Germany. This shoes reflects the forest, trees, leaves … in short the Nature.
Anxious to launch a project that informs and raises awareness, Afew also wanted to set an example by engaging in the field. As a result, they partnered with the European Forest Institute (EFI) and Plant-for-the-Planet by proposing to plant 10 trees for each pair of shoes sold. 3000 trees will be planted in Campeche, Mexico and each model owner will receive an official certificate. The exact coordinates of the planted tree will appear on the shoes.
The pair consists of a premium suede and leather upper. The lining contains a mix of mesh and leather. We find Afew branding on the tongue and heel and the words “Mighty” and “Forest” on the same heel. The insole is made of anti-bacterial leather. The set is based on a DYNACOIL white midsole and a gum sole. The pair will be delivered in a Forest Stewardship Council (fsc) certified wooden box.
