AFEW GOODS, la marque du fameux shop allemand axée sur le développement durable, dévoile un nouveau projet commémoratif. Marco et Andreas Biergen ont souhaité célébrer les 10 ans de la fameuse « KOI » en s’associant de nouveau à Rolf Rainer afin de créer une Afew Goods Yamasura KOI.
Il y a 10 ans, la 1ère sneaker KOI avait été élaborée pour la Journée du Japon 2012, par l’équipe de Rolf Rainer. Cette chaussure a connu un gros succès et a marqué une étape importante pour AFEW.
Pour rendre hommage à ce modèle phare, Marco et Andreas Biergen ont retrouvé Rolf Rainer et Rolf Preusser, le designer qui était encore à la tête d’Asics Germany Lifestyle en 2012 et qui a depuis quitté la marque japonaise pour fonder son propre petit label d’upcycling (Turn Shoe). Ils ont ainsi crée une nouvelle KOI intitulée Afew Goods Yamasura KOI.
Cette sneaker a été fabriquée à la main en Allemagne par Rolf et Rolf à partir de matériaux OG et upcyclés. Les partenaires ont ajouté plus de détails et de torsions dans le but de rendre cette sneaker haut de gamme encore plus confortable, stylée et durable. Elle se compose d’un upper combinant du cuir blanc sur les panneaux latéraux, des superpositions en daim gris sur le milieu du pied et en daim rouge sur la toe box, la pointe et le talon. Le nom du modèle YAMASURA est brodé en blanc sur le renfort latéral et le logo AFEW GOODS noir ajoute une touche de contraste sur le quarter panel. Une midsole crème et une outsole en gomme parachèvent élégamment le look.
La Afew Goods Yamasura KOI 1-of-1 MiG ne sera pas mise en vente. Afew Goods souhaite célébrer cette occasion spéciale avec sa communauté autour d’une grande fête dans le bar de Düsseldorf « Three little birds » et lors de l’exposition de la KOI qui aura lieu pour la Journée du Japon 2022, le 21 mai.
Ten years ago, the 1st KOI sneaker was created for Japan Day 2012 by the Rolf Rainer team. This shoe was a big success and a milestone for AFEW.
To pay homage to this flagship model, Marco and Andreas Biergen reunited with their friends Rolf Rainer and Rolf Preusser, the designer who was still head of Asics Germany Lifestyle in 2012 and who has since left the japanese brand to found his own small upcycling label (Turn Shoe), to create a new KOI by hand.
Titled Afew Goods Yamasura Koi, the sneaker was handcrafted in Germany by Rolf and Rolf from OG and upcycled materials. The partners added more details and twists in an effort to make this high-end sneaker even more comfortable, stylish and durable. It features a combination upper of white leather on the side panels, grey suede overlays on the midfoot and red suede on the toe box, toe and heel. The YAMASURA model name is embroidered in white on the side reinforcement and the black AFEW GOODS logo adds a touch of contrast on the quarter panel. A cream midsole and gum outsole finish off the look nicely.
The Afew Goods Yamasura KOI 1-of-1 MiG will not be released for sale. Afew Goods would like to celebrate this special occasion with its community with a big party at the Three Little Birds bar in Düsseldorf and at the KOI Expo, which will also be held on Japan Day, May 21, 2022.
