La célèbre boutique d’Atlanta A MA MANIERE continue son fructueux partenariat avec l’iconique marque Jordan Brand. Fort du succès de la Air Jordan 3 collaborative sortie au mois de mai (article dispo ICI), les deux partenaires ont retravaillé la légendaire Air Jordan 1 High OG.
La chaussure se pare d’un look élégant et raffiné. La traditionnelle tige en cuir a été remplacée par du daim blanc Sail avec des superpositions assorties. Cette base est réhaussée par des éléments de couleur Bordeaux foncé, comme le Swoosh latéral et le col en motif peau de serpent, ainsi que la doublure intérieure matelassée, l’insole et le logo Wings sur la cheville. Le co-branding orne la languette en daim Sail, mais chacun dans un style bien différent. Le fameux « Nike Air » reste classique et apparaît bordeaux sur fond noir, alors que A Ma Manière est écrit en noir en cursive sur la partie inférieure blanche de l’étiquette de languette. Pour affirmer la collab, une étiquette de branding comportant la mention « Airness by A Ma Manière for Air Jordan » est cousue sur la semelle intérieure. Le look est complété par des lacets bordeaux foncé, une semelle intermédiaire vintage jaunie et une outsole en caoutchouc bordeaux foncé.
Le petit plus de cette paire est dissimulé sur la face interne des Wings : une citation inspirante signée Michael Jordan : « You have to expect things of yourself before you can do them » (Vous devez attendre beaucoup de choses de vous-même avant de pouvoir les faire).

The shoe is adorned with an elegant and refined look. The traditional leather upper has been replaced by white Sail suede with matching overlays. This base is enhanced by dark Bordeaux elements, such as the side Swoosh and collar in snakeskin pattern, as well as the padded inner lining, insole and Wings logo on the ankle. Co-branding adorns the Sail suede tongue, but each in a very different style. The famous « Nike Air » remains classic and appears in burgundy on a black background, while A Ma Manière is written in black cursive on the white lower part of the tongue label. To affirm the collab, a branding label with the words « Airness by A Ma Maniere for Air Jordan » is sewn onto the insole. The look is completed with dark burgundy laces, a vintage yellowed midsole and a dark burgundy rubber outsole.
Hidden on the inside of the Wings is the added bonus of this pair : an inspirational quote by Michael Jordan : « You have to expect things of yourself before you can do them ».
