Après la Superstar « Superearth » du designer Sean Wotherspoon, l’équipementier allemand dévoile la « Superstuffed » conçue avec Kerwin Frost. Pour sa première collaboration avec adidas, l’artiste américain multicarte a apporté sa touche personnelle à cette sneaker iconique.
Kerwin Frost est un artiste, DJ, comédien et animateur de talk-show originaire du quartier de Harlem à New York. Il est aussi le fondateur de « Spaghetti Boys », une plateforme créative qui met en avant l’art, la musique et la mode. Kerwin Frost est connu pour sa grande faculté de « touche-à-tout », son talent, mais aussi pour son look excentrique et décalé.
Contrairement à ce que l’on aurait pu croire, la Superstar revisitée est, d’apparence, tout sauf audacieuse. Elle conserve le blocage de couleur original avec une base blanche et les 3 Stripes et le talon de couleur noire. La « Superstuffed » bénéficie d’une construction en matériaux haut de gamme, tel que des cuirs beurré ornant toute la tige ainsi que les doublures intérieures. Kerwin Frost a ajouté un côté skate à la paire en gonflant la languette, le col et les côtés. Le nom de la collab « Superstuffed », appliqué à la feuille d’or, remplace l’habituel Superstar sur le quarter panel de la chaussure gauche. Le Trefoil apparaît sur le tag de languette et les brandings se retrouvent associés au niveau de l’insole. Pour compléter le design, l’ensemble repose sur une semelle entièrement blanche.
La paire est livrée dans une box spéciale co-brandée et comportant l’illustration du visage tatoué de Kerwin Frost.

He’s also the founder of « Spaghetti Boys », a creative platform that highlights art, music and fashion. Kerwin Frost is known for his great ability to « touch everything », his talent, but also for his eccentric and offbeat look.
Contrary to what one might have thought, the revisited Superstar is anything but bold in appearance. It retains the original color blocking with a white base and the 3 Stripes and heel in black color. The « Superstuffed » consists of a high-end material construction, such as buttery leathers throughout the upper and inner linings. Kerwin Frost added a skatey feel to the pair by inflating the tongue, collar and sides. The name of the collab « Superstuffed », applied in gold leaf, replaces the usual Superstar on the quarter panel of the left shoe. The Trefoil appears on the tongue tag and the brandings are combined on the insole. To complete the design, the whole is based on an all white sole.
The pair comes in a special co-branded box featuring Kerwin Frost’s tattooed face.
