La créatrice new-yorkaise Sandy Liang est une fan de la série animée Bob l’Eponge. Déjà en 2019, elle s’était associée à Nickelodeon pour concevoir un t-shirt honorant les fameux résidents de Bikini Botton, parés de ses signes distinctifs. Aujourd’hui, elle fait équipe avec l’empreinte SpongeBob Square Pants et la marque californienne VANS pour une collection capsule inédite.
Cette capsule comprend 5 pièces mettant en scène l’univers de Bob L’Eponge. Elle se compose d’un hoodie, d’un t-shirt, d’un bob et de 2 versions de l’emblématique silhouette Vans Sk8-Hi 38 DX.
Le hoodie gris et le t-shirt blanc présentent les 4 personnages principaux de la série animée sur la poitrine, et le bob blanc cassé met à l’honneur l’amusant Patrick l’étoile de mer.
La première sneaker s’inspire particulièrement du décors de la série, avec une association d’imprimés rappelant les fonds marins et la silhouette souriante de Bob l’Eponge apposée sur le talon. La deuxième version fait référence à Sandy l’Ecureuil. Elle se présente en tons pastel bleu et vert, et comporte des ornements en relief en forme de fleurs rose pâle. Les deux versions bénéficient d’une semelle traditionnelle blanche avec le badge VANS rouge sous le talon.

Already in 2019, she partnered with Nickelodeon to design a t-shirt honoring the famous residents of Bikini Botton, adorned with its distinctive signs. Now, she’s teaming up with the SpongeBob Square Pants imprint and California-based brand VANS for a never-before-seen capsule collection.
This capsule includes 5 pieces featuring the world of SpongeBob. It consists of a hoodie, a t-shirt, a bob and 2 versions of the iconic Vans Sk8-Hi 38 DX silhouette.
The grey hoodie and white t-shirt feature the 4 main characters from the animated series on the chest, and the off-white bob features the fun Patrick Star.
The first sneaker is particularly inspired by the set of the series, with a combination of prints reminiscent of the ocean floor and the smiling silhouette of SpongeBob on the heel. The second version refers to Sandy Cheeks. It comes in pastel blue and green tones, and features embossed pale pink flower ornaments. Both versions feature a traditional white sole with the red VANS badge under the heel.
