La marque Japonaise Asics s’est associée à Sean Wotherspoon et Atmos afin de nous proposer une collaboration aux tonalités multicolores qui devrait rencontrer un réel succès en cette période estivale.
Lorsqu’on pense à Sean Wotherspoon, on l’associe forcément à la Nike Air Max 97/1 sortie en 2018. Cette paire mettait à l’honneur un matériau qu’affectionne particulièrement le fondateur du magasin Round Two : le velours côtelé. Depuis décembre 2019, ce dernier tease de manière subtile, une Asics Gel Lyte III multicolore conçue avec ce même matériau. L’enseigne japonaise Atmos et son designer Koji sont venus se joindre au projet, en nous présentant à travers ce trio magique (Asics, SW et Atmos) une collaboration sur une silhouette fêtant ses 30 ans : La Gel Lyte III.
Cette paire se compose d’un upper en velours côtelé, dans une palette de couleurs allant du bleu au noir en passant par de vert, du turquoise, du gris, du violet et de l’orange. Les deux chaussures sont dépareillées, les différentes parties de l’empeigne ne comportent pas les mêmes couleurs. On découvre une partie en velcro sur le coté de la sneaker, permettant de fixer et d’interchanger les emblématiques bandes Asics. En plus des logos Asics repositionnables fournis en 5 couleurs : jaune, bleue, verte, noire et rouge, la paire est livrée avec un patch de branding Atmos et un sigle signature Sean Wotherspoon Peace’N’Love pouvant se fixer au coté de ces stripes. Des détails de branding apparaissent sur la semelle intérieure, le contrefort du talon et sur le heel tab. Pour finaliser la personnalisation de la chaussure, deux paires de lacets, blancs et rose pâle, sont ajoutés à cette paire. L’ensemble repose sur une midsole blanche avec un clip de talon jaune pour le pied droit et rouge pour le pied gauche. Pour compléter le design coloré et dépareillé, l’outsole bicolore comporte la couleur marron et mauve pour une chaussure, et violette et noire pour l’autre.
La Sean Wotherspoon x Atmos x Asics Gel-Lyte III sortira le 27 juin 2020 au Japon, sur Atmos-tokyo.com pour environ 160€ pour la paire en pointure adulte. Une version pour enfants sera aussi disponible. Une sortie globale devrait arriver très prochainement.
Cette collaboration sera complétée par des articles matchant avec l’esthétisme de la chaussure : cinq t-shirts de différentes couleurs, un tote bag et une sacoche.

When we think of Sean Wotherspoon, we necessarily associate him with the Nike Air Max 97/1 released in 2018. This pair featured a material that the founder of the Round Two store is particularly fond of : corduroy. Since December 2019, the latter teases in a subtle way, a multicoloured Asics Gel Lyte III designed with this same material. The Japanese brand Atmos and its designer Koji joined the project by presenting us through this magical trio (Asics, SW and Atmos) a collaboration on a silhouette celebrating its 30th anniversary : The Gel Lyte III.
This pair consists of a corduroy upper in a palette of colours ranging from blue to black, green, turquoise, grey, purple and orange. The two shoes are mismatched, the different parts of the vamp do not have the same colors. We discover a velcro part on the side of the sneaker, allowing to fix and interchange the emblematic Asics strips. In addition to the repositionable Asics logos supplied in 5 colours : yellow, blue, green, black and red, the pair comes with an Atmos branding patch and a Sean Wotherspoon Peace’N’Love signature logo that can be attached to the side of these stripes. Branding details appear on the insole, the heel counter and the heel tab. To finalize the personalization of the shoe, two pairs of laces, white and light pink, are added to this pair. The whole is based on a white midsole with a yellow heel clip for the right foot and red for the left foot. To complete the colourful and mismatched design, the two-tone outsole features brown and purple for one shoe, and purple and black for the other.
The Sean Wotherspoon x Atmos x Asics Gel-Lyte III will be released on 27 June 2020 in Japan, on Atmos-tokyo.com for around 160€ for the pair in adult size. A children’s version will also be available. A global release should arrive very soon.
This collaboration will be completed by articles matching the aestheticism of the shoe : five t-shirts of different colors, a tote bag and a handbag.
