Le talentueux skateur Lucas Puig et ses sponsors Adidas et Palace reviennent aujourd’hui nous présenter un troisième modèle signature. Après deux précédentes paires sorties en 2013 la « Puig Pro LTD Stan Smith » et en 2017 la « Lucas Premiere ADV », dont Puig avouait lui-même les défauts : l’une trop gonflée, l’autre trop basse, cette nouvelle silhouette apparaît comme un mélange parfait des éléments essentiels pour une skate shoe. Cette dernière création nommée Palace Puig est placée sous le signe du confort, de la technologie et de l’élégance.
Avant tout, commençons par une petite parenthèse sur le parcours de notre skateur national :
Depuis presque une décennie, le toulousain trentenaire Lucas Puig skate pour la firme allemande ADIDAS et depuis 2016 il s’est aussi associé à la marque anglaise de skateboard PALACE après avoir refusé de s’allier aux américains de chez NUMBERS, restant fidèle au continent européen. Ce gagnant du premier Teenage Tour, une compétition visant à révéler les nouveaux meilleurs skateurs Français, connait une belle carrière. Il est apparu dans le film documentaire « Lakai Fully Flared », il a fait la couverture du magazine américain spécialisé « Transworld Skateboarding », il s’est vu représenté dans des jeux vidéos de skate et a même eu droit à un portrait dans le journal populaire Libération. Ce célèbre français, qui a su s’imposer à l’étranger et a obtenu une visibilité internationale, est aussi le fondateur de la marque de streetwear HELAS. Lucas multiplie les projets, restez connectés… Maintenant revenons sur cette nouveauté.
Ce modèle designé par Lucas Puig et Palace, et conçu par Adidas se décline en trois coloris monochrome : noir, blanc et rose.
Pour chaque coloris, l’upper se compose de cuir lisse et souple avec des perforations sur la toebox proche du laceguard, apportant confort et facilitant le ressenti avec la planche.
Les trois bandes Adidas se dévoilent subtilement sur les panneaux latéraux quasiment en ton sur ton.
On retrouve des détails de couleur dorée, notamment le nom PUIG inscrit parallèle aux bandes et aligné aux œillets de lacets supérieurs de même couleur. Le Branding Palace « Tri-Ferg » apparaît aussi en doré sur la languette joliment texturée dont l’intérieur comporte un print rayé.
Pour compléter le design soigné du modèle, le lining et les lacets se présentent de couleur identique à la chaussure.
L’ensemble repose sur une midsole alliant technologie et confort, de couleur matchant avec l’ensemble de la paire et comportant l’inscription Palace en relief.
Pour finaliser le combo esthétisme et technologie du modèle, l’outsole en caoutchouc est équipée d’un nouveau motif à tractions afin d’accentuer l’adhérence sur la planche. Aussi, l’outsole apparaît bicolore, selon le coloris : noire avec une bande bleue, rose avec une bande blanche et blanche avec une bande rouge. Cette bande remonte sur le talon pour dessiner un triangle, le logo emblématique de la marque Palace.

First of all let’s start with a short interlude on the career of our national skateboarder :
For almost a decade, the thirty year old Lucas Puig from Toulouse has been skateboarding for the German company ADIDAS and since 2016 he has also been associated with the English skateboard brand PALACE after having refused to ally himself with the Americans from NUMBERS, remaining faithful to the European continent. This winner of the first Teenage Tour, a competition aimed at revealing the new best French skateboarders, has a great career. He appeared in the documentary movie « Lakai Fully Flared », he was on the cover of the specialized American magazine « Transworld Skateboarding », he was represented in skateboarding video games and even got a portrait in the popular newspaper Libération. This famous Frenchman, who has established himself abroad and gained international visibility, is also the founder of the streetwear brand HELAS. Lucas is multiplying his projects… stay connected… but now let’s come back to this novelty.
This model designed by Lucas Puig and Palace, and conceived by Adidas is available in three monochrome colorways: black, white and pink.
For each colour, the upper consists of smooth and supple leather with perforations on the toebox at the front of the laceguard, providing comfort and making it easier to feel the board.
The three Adidas stripes are subtly revealed on the side panels almost in tone-on-tone.
There are gold-coloured details, including the PUIG name inscribed parallel to the stripes and aligned with the upper laces eyelets in the same colour. The Branding Palace « Tri-Ferg » also appears in gold on the beautifully textured tongue with a striped print on the inside.
To complete the neat design of the model, the lining and laces are in the same colour as the shoe.
The whole is based on a midsole combining technology and comfort, in a matching colour with the pair and featuring the embossed Palace inscription.
To finalize the aesthetic and technological combo of the model, the rubber outsole is equipped with a new traction pattern to increase the grip on the skate. Also, the outsole appears two-tone, depending on the colorway : black with a blue stripe, pink with a white stripe and white with a red stripe. This strip goes up on the heel to draw a triangle, the emblematic logo of the Palace brand.
This new PALACE x ADIDAS SKATEBOARDING x LUCAS PUIG is announced for Friday 22nd May 2020 on Adidas.fr and PalaceSkateboards.com websites.
