Depuis quelques temps, ces sneakers se voient baptisées de noms hébreux et arborent un coloris en lien avec ce titre. Avec le modèle « Asriel » qui signifie « Prince de Dieu ou Aidé par Dieu », on peut y voir un clin d’œil au dernier projet musical de Kanye : l’album « Jesus is King » ou même en poussant un peu plus loin, en se rappelant certains propos sur sa personne, à Kanye lui-même ?! La ADIDAS YEEZY 350 V2 « ASRIEL » se présente avec une empeigne en Primeknit aux couleurs sobres. En effet, le patchwork de graphismes passe du gris perle au noir en passant par du gris foncé. Ce choix de couleurs rappelle la version « Cinder » du modèle. Cependant ici, l’ensemble est adouci par des touches de couleurs claires. Au-dessus de la discrète bande latérale tissée en monofilament noir, on constate un imposant empiècement, en forme de triangle, de couleur gris pâle s’étendant jusqu’au lining gris soutenu. Aussi, comme sur les itérations récentes, le heel tab est absent, simplifiant ou « purifiant » le modèle. Les lacets noirs sont livrés en deux versions : classique ou infinity, un système de laçage élastique qui ne nécessite pas de nouer mais juste de resserrer les cordons. L’ensemble repose sur une midsole Boost semi-translucide blanche jaunie et une outsole en gomme accentuant le côté vintage de la semelle. Cette paire au style épuré veut regrouper certains avantages recherchés sur une sneaker : sobriété, élégance, confort et praticité.

With the « Asriel » model, which means « Prince of God or Helped by God », we can see a nod to Kanye’s latest musical project : the album « Jesus is King » or even going a little further, remembering some words about his person, to Kanye himself ?! Who knows…
The ADIDAS YEEZY 350 V2 « ASRIEL » comes with a Primeknit upper in understated colours. Indeed, the patchwork of graphics goes from pearl grey to black through dark grey. This choice of colours is reminiscent of the « Cinder » version of the model. However here, the upper is softened by touches of light colours. Above the discreet black monofilament woven side strip, there is an imposing, triangular-shaped, light grey insert that extends to the deep grey lining. Also, as in recent iterations, the heel tab is absent, simplifying or « purifying » the pattern. The black laces come in two versions : classic or infinity, an elastic lacing system that does not require tying but just tightening the cords. The whole is based on a semi-translucent white yellowed Boost midsole and a rubber outsole accentuating the vintage side of the sole. This pair with its refined style wants to combine the advantages sought after on a sneaker : sobriety, elegance, comfort and practicality.
